Meet Maureen Williams – a Peoria, Illinois local with an unyielding dedication to criminal defense law.

Beginning her academic journey at Creighton University, Maureen graduated with a degree in Business Administration in 1985. After gaining her CPA license in Missouri in 1988, she made a decisive career turn towards law. Enrolling at Mitchell Hamline School of Law that same year, she graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 1991.

Stepping into the world of law, Maureen first honed her legal skills as a Judicial Law Clerk in the 5th Judicial District in Mankato, Minnesota, from 1991 to 1993. She then opened her own law firm in Minneapolis in 1993. A homecoming took place in 2005 when she relocated the firm to her birthplace, Peoria, Illinois, where she has been providing legal support to the local community ever since.

For nearly three decades, Maureen has devoted herself to all facets of criminal defense law, providing relentless advocacy from the investigative stage through to the appeal stage. Her breadth of experience spans DUIs, drug possession, aggravated assault, to homicide cases. With a deep sense of justice, she has expanded her practice to support those wrongfully convicted in their post-conviction battles.
